Date Submitted: January 25, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2008 | | I had promised my two daughters and young granddaughter (16 months) a week away in the sun and we all spent a glorious week at the villa. My youngest daughter had just finished University and she and my elder daughter spent most days sunbathing and swimming while we entertained the baby. The description of the villa does not do it enough justice, it was all so neat and clean. The bedrooms were all of a good size, (we also had a cot in one) 2 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and the main has a lovely terrace that is in the sun all day. The pool was superb and in the evening with the pool lit up, beer in one hand and digging in to a B-B-Q with the other, we didn't want to come home. I used to take my granddaughter out in her pushchair every morning to get a paper and visit the fresh food market that sold veg, fruit, meat and fish for the B-B-Q that evening. There were also a few supermarkets all within a 5 min walk. The beach and restaurants were all within easy walking distance with a variety of restaurants to suit everyone. My granddaughter loved going on the kiddies rides near the beach. We hired a car as the Spanish border was very close and we visited a few beaches there and we also drove to Seville for a day trip. This was a holiday and venue for just 'chilling out', we will return! | | Recommended for: Sightseeing, Tourists without a Car, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway |
| "Great Villa, beautiful Altura" | CARRA Glasgow. Date Submitted: January 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008 | | This villa was a great find for us. We have been going to the Eastern Algarve region for almost twenty years and generally stayed in towns like Tavira and Monte Gordo. Altura is adjacent to those towns but much nicer, as it is less commercial but still contains great restaurants and an amazing beach. We brought the kids and they loved it - never out of the pool, when we aerent down the road at the beach, and we had loads of room. The house is beautifully furnished and came equipped with everything you could want for a short stay. I would highly recommend it. And Altura. | | Recommended for: Families with Young Children |
'Thank you for all the help given to us for our recent holiday spent at Villa Branca. super villa and pool and we loved the area. Pick ups for the airport all on time and very good. Thank you too you and all your team'. AUGUST 2008 | "A stunning villa and wonderful holiday experience" | Jack Q Dublin, Ireland. Date Submitted: January 22, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2008 | | We stayed in Altura in the autumn and enjoyed it immensly. The beach is absolutely glorious and yet never seems over-packed. Perhaps that is because it goes on for miles. The village in incredibly relaxed, with an excellent range of restaurants and bars to choose from. But the really pleasant element of the holiday was finding this gem of a villa. Placed in the heart of Altura and only a few minutes walk from the beach, it was both spotlessly clean and tremendously relaxing. Although there were only four of us staying, we could easily and confortably have brought up to 8 people. The pool and lounge area really make for a splendid immediate environment in which to relax if you dont want to stroll to the beach, or to hold a barbecue in the evening. We played golf three times at one of the local courses. And then there is Joao's little classic Portugeuse Bar a few minutes up the road....all in all the perfect place to get away on the Algarve. We shall be back in 2009, recession or no recession! | Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Age 55+ |
'The villa more then met all our requirements and in excellent condition. Altura was great, my days of discos are over, there is an excellent choice of Restaurants and we felt at home in the bar at the end of the road. Tks for everything and in the words of Gen. Mc Arthur we will be back.' MAY 2007 'Just a quick note of thanks to you for arranging to accommodate us all in the Villa Branca for Christmas 2007. It was a very good villa for us - absolutely everything we needed. Thank you also for the trouble you took in guiding us to it and your flexibility about the arrangements. We had a great time in Altura and surroundings! All the best to you in 2008. I hope our paths cross again'. CHRISTMAS 2007
More to Come.....
